Create is Tyler School of Art and Architecture’s Graphic and Interactive Design department’s senior portfolio showcase. This year it consisted of a Virtual Portfolio review event and a networking event we named Create After Hours. The six of us on the Create team were faced with the challenge of designing an event that both served and defined the GAID department’s entire senior class.
In the role of lead strategist, I was in charge of research. I researched past events and similar sites to inform how we would run our events and lay out the website.
Group sketches and logo ideation. The concept we settled on had the tagline Blend, Merge, Unite: This was both conceptually right for Create, and also plays on the parts of the pathfinder tool in Illustrator.
Final style tile with all our brand elements, as well as the photo treatment for the class of 2022's student headshots.
